Silverado Trail To Close For Napa Valley Harvest Half-Marathon

NAPA COUNTY, CA — Silverado Trail will be closed this Sunday, Oct. 20, near Calistoga to accommodate the seventh annual Napa Valley Harvest Half-Marathon. The special event is from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., with up to 1,000 participants and 200 spectators anticipated, according to an advisory from the Napa County Public Works Department.

"Local residents will be escorted through as needed and as safety allows," county officials said. "Parking for theevent will be provided at the Napa County Fairgrounds in Calistoga."

Affected residents should have received a notification letter from event organizers, and will need to show that letter to California Highway Patrol as proof of residence when coming and going, according to Napa County Public Works.

The run starts and finishes at Calistoga Beverage Company, 865 Silverado Trail North, in Calistoga, according to the event website.

Check-in for racers starts at 7:30 a.m. Sunday, followed by the start of the half-marathon at 8:30 a.m. and the 5K and 10K races at 8:40 a.m.
