Skatepark To Close For Maintenance, City Of St. Helena Says
The skatepark will be closed for about a month, according to the city.

ST. HELENA, CA — The skatepark at Crane Park in St. Helena will be closed for over a month in order for the city's Public Works Department to perform maintenance. The work will start Wednesday, Sept. 25 and is expected to be completed by Oct. 28. During that time, maintenance work will take place from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
For safety reasons, the skatepark will be closed for the entire duration of the project, city officials said.
The maintenance project is being funded by Park Impact Fees, with the purpose of the work being to:

- Repair rough edges, pool blocks, seams at top of pyramid, cracks, and joints in skatepark;
- Repaint all steel coping and edging, pressure wash and reseal entire skatepark with tinted concrete sealer;
- Replace the brick coping in the flow bowl with cast in place brick coping, tiles with more durable faux tile; and
- Add a flat rail and bank in the street area of the skatepark.
"Please be aware of onsite maintenance activities which may affect park accessibility within the surrounding vicinity of the skatepark," said Edrees Argand, junior assistant engineer for the city of St. Helena. "We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause."
