The contractor will notify any affected area residents one week prior to the scheduled construction activities. The City will provide schedule updates and staff is available anytime for questions or detailed coordination. Please note that traffic control measures will be in effect, and there will be periods of restricted access to roads and driveways. Construction activities will occur between the hours of 8 A.M. - 5 P.M.
This project is being funded with local Measure T and state SB1 funds. For more information on Measure T projects countywide, please visit the Measure T website at https://www.nvta.ca.gov/measure-t. It should be noted that this work is part of the City’s ongoing effort to maintain and repair city streets. At the current funding level of approximately $1.2 million per year, the City should be able to stay at the 50% Pavement Condition Index (PCI). If an 80% PCI is desired, it will take an investment of approximately $2.2 million (a $1 million in annual increase) to get there in 6 years. Achieving better roads will also require additional funding for staffing in order to ensure the City is able to develop plans, oversee construction activity, and maintain repaired roadways.
