Storm Update From Napa County Government
With the expected forecast for Sunday, the Oxbow Bypass flood gates are set to be closed again Saturday afternoon through Tuesday.

NAPA COUNTY, CA — The Napa River peaked at just above 16 feet on January 5, 2023, below the National Weather Service forecast. The river is expected to continue to remain below the Oxbow Bypass flood gate activation stage of 20 feet through Saturday, so Napa County Flood District Staff will be re-opening the Oxbow flood gates before noon today. During this time, McKinstry Street within the bypass will continue to be closed to parking.

With the expected forecast for Sunday, the flood gates are set to be closed again Saturday afternoon through Tuesday. The District will continue to monitor Napa Creek and clear debris on the culverts as needed.
