Symphony Napa Valley and a Michael Guttman Spectacular

Music Director and Belgian violinist, Michael Guttman, returns to the Napa Valley, as he performs and conducts his world renowned production of ‘Tango and Opera Sensations’ with the Symphony Napa Valley Chamber Orchestra. Guttman is highly regarded for his fresh, innovative combinations of Tango music from around the world and in this celebrated program, he enhances the sensual experience of the Tango with touches of romantic Italian opera. Fresh off of his world tour, this charismatic conductor and violinist offers symphonic music in a style that light, interpretative and accessible to music lovers ranging first time concert goers to seasoned symphony lovers.

Joining Maestro Guttman will be numerous international artists who will bring their own interpretations to the dynamic world of Tango and Opera. Performing with the Symphony Napa Valley Chamber Orchestra will be Argentinean J P Jofre on the bandoneon, the traditional Argentinean concertina, internationally acclaimed Italian double-bassist, Enrico Fagone, and Belgian violinist and graduate of the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, Alexander Gurning.

Concert will include works by Botessini, Villoldos, Rodriguez, and of course the master of Tango himself, Piazzolla. Don’t miss this sensory and energetic performance!
