Third Annual Napa River Paddle Day

Napa Valley Yacht Club & the Ohana Wa’a Outrigger Canoe Club host the Third Annual Napa River Paddle Day to celebrate paddle sports on our Napa River.

The premiere watersports festival on the Napa River, the Third Annual Napa River Paddle Day returns on Saturday, September 19th at 10:00am to the Napa Valley Yacht Club. Celebrating outrigger canoes, stand up paddle boards, kayaks and all river water sports, the Napa Valley Yacht Club and the Ohana Wa’a Outrigger Canoe Club bring a day of paddling, races, music, food and fun to the greater Napa community’.

Napa River Paddle Day is an opportunity for the community to explore our river while learning about local river sport activities via the NVYC, Ohana Wa’a Outrigger Canoe Club and other Napa River businesses. Canoe & kayak rides, stand up paddle board lessons and a paddle sports race are just some of the activities planned for the day. On land participants can enjoy boating safety demonstrations, music, food, raffle prizes, a silent auction and more! Race entry fees and food purchases go toward supporting the Ohana Wa’a Keiki (youth) paddler scholarship fund.

This event is intended to be social and educational and an opportunity for locals and paddlers outside of Napa to become more familiar with river sport activities on the Napa River. If you have a SUP, kayak, or canoe, bring it on down. If not, do worries, we will have some equipment available to demo. No watersports experience is necessary to participate and appropriate instruction will be provided by the Ohana Wa’a Outrigger Canoe Club and High Water Stand Up Paddle.

This event is free to the public and fees apply to race entries.
