UN/shelved: Napa County Library Connects With Millennials
Untraditional, free library events for 20 to 30 year olds.
Napa County millennials no longer have to swipe right to meet new people. The Napa County Library’s new UN/shelved program connects 20 to 30 year olds through untraditional library events.
The first event, Books On Tap, is for literary lovers seeking a different kind of book club. Scheduled for September 22 at 6:30 pm, there will be free appetizers and a complimentary taste of wine. This event is for 21 and older. The schedule of books is:
- Sept. 22 : So You’ve Been Publically Shamed by Jon Ronson
- Oct. 20: The First Fifteen Lives of Harry August by Claire North
- Nov. 17: Modern Romance by Aziz Ansari
Come express yourself during Open Mic Night. Perform music, short plays, dances, poetry and more. The event is held at the Napa location every third Wednesday of the month, with sign-ups starting at 6:30 p.m.

For those multitasking parents, the new (Book) Talk and Walk is a good opportunity to load up the stroller and join the discussion on books, current events, and all things parenthood. This event is held at the Napa location every third Thursday of the month at 10:15 am.
It’s your move with UN/shelved Gaming if you want to discover new games or socialize with other gamers. This is in collaboration with Bad Zero games and one new game will be raffled off at each UN/shelved gaming event. This event is held at the Napa location every first Tuesday of the month at 6 p.m.
