Watch: Helicopter Joins Chase Of Stolen Car Through Napa Streets

A stolen car tore through Napa's highways Friday evening, weaving past traffic and prompting a high-flying CHP helicopter to join the chase.

NAPA VALLEY, CA — Friday evening, a stolen car roared down Highway 29 south of Airport Road, tires screeching as it dodged traffic and careened toward Napa city streets.

Officers from the Napa Police and the County Sheriff's Office called in CHP’s H-30 helicopter to shadow the fleeing vehicle from above while they followed below.

The chase surged onto Highway 221, weaving through city streets, before ground units moved in.

Crew finally cut off the driver with by encircling the car and nudging the driver to a stop, ending the pursuit. The suspect was taken into custody without incident, according to CHP.
