Vineyard 7 & 8 is a small, family run winery located at 2000 feet on the top of Spring Mountain. A journey that began in 1999 by the Steffens family with a philosophy in winemaking that remains simple, yet focused; striving to produce premium, handcrafted wines highlighting a sense of place within the Spring Mountain District through experience, passion, and humility.
In 1999, Launny and Weezie Steffens purchased the land that is now Vineyard 7 & 8. Their decision was based on their passion for collecting and enjoying fine food and wine.
Residing in New Jersey, Launny runs a private investment advisory firm in New York City called Spring Mountain Capital. Weezie continues to pursue her passion and studies in fine arts and painting.
They have three children: Drew, the oldest son, lives with his wife Missy and their children in Raleigh, NC. Their daughter, Julie, lives in Princeton, NJ, with her husband Jon and their family. Their youngest son, Wesley, lives with his wife Jessica and their children in Yountville, CA.
