Winners Of Napa County Water Conservation Video Contest Announced

The winning 30-second PSA will be shown all week on the big screen at Century Napa Valley. You can also watch it here.

NAPA, CA – Two Napa High School students were announced Thursday as the winners of the 2019 Napa County Water Conservation Video Contest. Napa High's Sarah Carleton and Emma Wallenbrock successfully captured this year's theme, "Water in a Changing Climate," in their first-place video, according to a news release.

The winning 30-second public service announcement will be up on the big screen as part of the pre-show program for all films shown Friday, June 7 through Thursday, June 13 at Century Napa Valley Theatre.

Each of the winning partners also received a $60 gift card for Century Napa Valley.

It marks the fourth year of the annual video contest, which once again was sponsored by the cities of Napa, American Canyon, St. Helena and Calistoga, as well as the town of Yountville, Napa County and the Napa County Resource Conservation District.

The contest was open to all students in grades 9-12 who attend school in Napa County.

Final judging was conducted by representatives from the city of Napa, NapaSan, the county of Napa and the Resource Conservation District.

Congratulations also went out to this year's second-place winner, Martin Arriaga from Napa High, and third-place winner, Itzi Padilla from American Canyon High School.
