2 Adults, 7 Dogs Saved From Second Story Window In Newark Fire

Everyone and their furry family members got out safely.

NEWARK, CA — Alameda County Firefighters rescued two adults and seven dogs from a fire in Newark Wednesday evening. The dogs include five puppies. They were all rescued from a second story window. No one was injured.

The fire was contained to the kitchen. Firefighters had the flames out within 15 minutes of arriving at the home on the 6300 block of Potrero Drive.

The Red Cross is helping the fire victims with temporary shelter.
