The fire briefly went to two alarms, but the second alarm was canceled.

NEWARK, CA — Alameda County firefighters extinguished a fire in the 36900 block of Magnolia Street Tuesday afternoon. There were no injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

The fire was first reported at 12:47 p.m. The fire was upgraded to a second alarm as a precaution and then canceled shortly thereafter, according to fire department spokeswoman Aisha Knowles.

The fire was in a garage-type building used as storage and was put out before it could reach adjacent buildings.
