2 Suspects Arrested After Newark Traffic Stop
The man and woman were both taken into custody.

NEWARK, CA — Police arrested two individuals during a traffic stop in Newark on Thursday, police said.
At 10:42 p.m., police stopped a vehicle on Central Avenue at Cedar Boulevard. During the stop, an officer arrested one of the occupants, a 32-year-old man from Fremont, on suspicion of possession of drug
paraphernalia.
According to police, another officer also arrested the second occupant of the vehicle, a 56-year-old woman, on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance.

Both suspects were issued citations and released, police said.
