2 Transients Arrested At Homeless Camps

Both suspects had outstanding warrants.

NEWARK, CA — Newark Police officers made two arrests on Saturday when they did a walking patrol through a homeless camp. Both of the arrests were for outstanding warrants.

At a homeless camp is near Highway 84 and I-880, a 29-year-old man was arrested and booked into the Fremont Jail.

Later that day, Highway 84 and Lake Boulevard, a 52-year-old transient woman was arrested outstanding warrants and booked into the Santa Rita Jail.
