3 Newark Home Burglaries, Attempted Burglaries Reported

The burglars got away with jewelry and electronics.

NEWARK, CA — Some Newark residents are doing without jewelry and electronics after burglars struck last Friday. Burglars successfully stole items from two of three homes that were struck. No arrests have been announced.

  • 7:17 p.m.: Officer Wallace investigated an attempted residential burglary on the 6600 block of Garrone Avenue. There was no reported loss.
  • 8:47 p.m.: Officer Herbert investigated a residential burglary on the 35600 block of Farnham Drive. The loss was a Mac Book and Jewelry.
  • 11:08 p.m.: Officers responded to a report of a burglary in progress on the 7600 block of Wells Avenue. The suspect had fled prior to the Officers arrival. The loss is an Xbox 360.
