All lanes have reopened on southbound Interstate Highway 880 in Hayward due to police activity this morning, according to the California Highway Patrol. A sig-alert was issued at 12:58 a.m. stating that all southbound lanes were blocked on Highway 880 at Tennyson Road while all northbound lanes were blocked at Whipple Road. An updated sig-alert at 1:24 a.m. stated that all northbound lanes were reopened, while southbound lanes remain shut down.
