BART Arrests 9 Suspects Wednesday

BAY AREA — BART Police report that they arrested nine suspects for various crimes Wednesday on the Peninsula, in San Francisco and in the East Bay. The charges include assault with a deadly weapon, grand theft and assaulting a police officer.

The level of activity is unusual for BART, which reported 3 arrests on Monday and 4 on Tuesday.

Powell St. - 5:59 a.m.
Anthony Smith, 56-years-old, of San Francisco, was arrested for a no bail warrant for contempt of court.

Coliseum - 9:19 a.m.
Hayward Blake, 33-years-old, of Berkeley, was arrested for probation violation and carrying a dirk or daggar.

Millbrae - 9:55 a.m.
Robin Ramirez, 33-years-old, of Vallejo, was arrested on a felony no bail warrant for assault with a deadly weapon, along with a misdemeanor $8,000 warrant for assault with a deadly weapon, and hit-and-run.

Walnut Creek - 10:24 a.m.
Lionel Jackson, 40-years-old, of San Leandro, was arrested for grand theft.

Bay Fair - 11:16 a.m.
Dennis P. Miller III, 18-years-old, of Hayward, was arrested for assaulting and resisting/delaying a police officer, and he was booked at the Santa Rita Jail.

Fruitvale - 2:13 p.m.
Mitchell Hofman, 29-years-old, of Foster City was arrested for outstanding warrants and booked into the county jail.

North Concord/Martinez - 2:47 p.m.
Satinderjit Pannu, 53-years-old, of Union City was arrested for being drunk in public and booked into the county jail.

San Francisco International Airport - 5:15 p.m.
James Ford, 32-years-old, of Oakland, was arrested for an outstanding warrant and booked into the county jail.

Orinda - 9:13 p.m.
Gerald Jackson, 58-years-old, of San Francisco was placed under arrest and booked for assault with a deadly weapon and domestic battery.
