Bicyclist Launched Through Window After Crashing into Parked Car
The 18-year-old cyclist was riding near the intersection of Birch Street and Bitterroot Avenue at the time of the collision.

A bicyclist was severely injured when he crashed into the rear window of a parked car in Newark on Sunday afternoon, police said. The 18-year-old cyclist was riding near the intersection of Birch Street and Bitterroot Avenue at about 1:15 p.m. when he hit a parked car, police said.
He was launched from his bike through the car’s rear window, suffering injuries to his face and head. He was taken to a hospital and though his injuries were severe, he is expected to survive, according to police.
