The Booster Club is obligated to initiate new comprehensive accounting practices. Thus far, my experience has been that the Booster Club is already noncompliant with the new bylaws. I will likely need to bring another civil action to force compliance with the new bylaws. In the meantime, I feel that if the Booster Club is noncompliant with the new bylaws, it will also be noncompliant with the new accounting requirements. I am writing to caution those of you planning to buy fireworks from the Booster Club. If you are planning on it, please ask them where the money is going and what accounting methods are in place to ensure that the money is actually going to benefit the NMHS athletes.
