Simple Treats Fast

Are you looking for fast, fun and child friendly desserts? Check these ideas out.

As a mom in know that time can pass without you noticing where it went.  When it is comes to making a special treat for my boys, I try to fly under their radar.  The best treats should take under 10 minutes.

Here are a few of my favorite's:

S'more Bar -  In bowl mix (1) bag mini marshmallows, (2) packages of graham crackers, any flavor, ground cinnamon to taste.  Melt 3/4 of a pound of chocolate chips in the microwave until almost melted.  Stir in the 1/4 lb of additional chocolate chips.  Once all chocolate is melted pour over marshmallow mixture.  Scoop into a cupcake pan filled with cupcake liners.  Let dry and serve.

Cookie Pizza -  Spray a round pizza pan with cooking spray.  Press (1) package of refrigerator cookie dough into the pan evenly.  Bake per the package directions.  Once large cookie is done, let sit until cooled completely. Once cool, spread (3/4) of a tub of store bought frosting on top, leaving a 1/2 inch edge .  Arrange your favorite candy in bowls such as gummy bears, cut up candy bars, M n M Mini's, marshmallows etc.  Call your children and have them decorate the pizza.

Homemade Ice -  Place ice in a high-powered blender.  Blend until ice is a fine snow texture.  Place snow in glasses.  Pour flavored syrup over snow and enjoy.

Cookie Ice Cream Sandwiches - Bake off any store bought cookie dough or use  any cookies in your pantry.  Place one cookie on a plate and put (1) large of scoop well softened  ice cream in the center.  Press the second cookie on top.  Roll the edges of the cookie into any item of your choice including sprinkles, chopped nuts, crushed cookies or candies.  Place in freezer for 5-10 minutes to firm up and eat.

Leftovers Delight -  Cut up any left over cake, cupcakes, brownies or cookies and set aside.  Cut up any fruit that is ready to expire and set aside.  Now the fun part, fill a glass jar with 1/2 cup heavy cream, 2 teaspoons of sugar, 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla and 3-4 large marbles.  Please the lid tightly on the jar and shake until whipped cream is formed.  Please do not shake the jar too hard or the marbles will break the jar. If jar beaks during the shaking, please throw out the entire batch and start over. Once whipped cream is made, layer the items in a fancy glass and serve with a cherry on top.

I hope that you try out a few of these ideas!  Happy creating!
