Last weekend we decided to take our new puppy, Fozzie on a play date to in Newark. We had arranged to meet Shasta and her family to play some fetch and Frisbee. The play date was great!
The kids were able to play tennis, while the pooches chased any balls they saw, and the adults were able to get some chatting in, as well.
Once the dogs started to wind down, my son began to hear a small cry. Upon further investigation, we located a trapped kitten on the top of the tennis courts. He was stuck.

With a little convincing, my husband agreed to climb the tennis courts to rescue the kitten.
Once the kitten was rescued it was love at first sight for all of us. The kitten was quickly named Court. As we all held the kitten, we began to brainstorm on where the kitten could have come from. Court was not afraid of us, our children or the dogs. He was healthy and sweet.

After some discussion, we decided to canvas the area for Court's owner. No one claimed the kitten.
We knew that we could not just leave the kitten in the parking lot in hopes that the owner would come back from him, so we start to call around to and post his picture on Facebook. We phoned cat rescue groups with little luck.
With no home for the kitten, Shasta’s family decided to take little Court home. Court and Shasta have become great friends!
