Brush Fire Doused In Newark

The police department asked drivers to avoid the area until mop up efforts were complete.

NEWARK, CA — A brush fire in the city of Newark burned along Newark Boulevard Wednesday, according to the Newark Police Department.

The fire was between Central Avenue and Civic Terrace Avenue. The Alameda County Fire Department doused the fire.

Police asked drivers to stay away from the area until mop-up efforts were complete.
