Burglaries, Vehicle Thefts In Newark

Police recovered a stolen car from another city.

NEWARK, CA — Newark Police Officers have been busy investigating reports of thefts and vandalism. Everything from cars and computers, to mail have been stolen. The good news - a stolen vehicle was recovered.

March 21

  • Officer Wang investigated the theft of mail from the community mailboxes on the 39700 block of Portrero Drive.

  • Officer R. Johnson recovered a Honda Accord reported stolen out of Pleasanton on Dahlia Drive at Birch Street. The vehicle was towed from the scene.
  • Officer Losier investigated a residential burglary on the 6100 block of Tourraine Drive. The loss was televisions, laptop, and watches.

March 19

  • Officer Mavrakis investigated an auto burglary on the 6300 block of Buena Vista Drive. The loss is the vehicle’s radio faceplate and loose change left in the vehicle.
  • Officer Mavrakis investigated the theft of a Green, 1991 Honda Accord (CA License #2VNZ596) on the 7400 block of Mowry Avenue.

  • Officer Damewood investigated a vehicle vandalism case on the 5400 block of Saint Mark Avenue.
  • Officer Rivera investigated a package theft on the 37900 block of Luma Terrace.
  • Officer Arroyo investigated a theft from a vehicle on the 39800 block of Pelton Terrace. The loss was a Dell laptop and Apple air buds.
