WHY: October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Alameda County District Attorney Nancy E. O’Malley and the Alameda County Family Justice Center will host the 20th Annual Day of Remembrance to pay tribute to those who have lost their lives as a result of domestic violence and provide hope and resources to those struggling with violence in the home. This event calls for all communities to come together to act now to stop domestic violence, as well as to empower women, children, and men who have survived domestic abuse. The ceremony will also recognize the agencies, county departments, commissions, community-based organizations, and individuals whose work is essential in the ongoing effort to end domestic violence in Alameda County.

*The event is expected to be livestreamed. Please visit our Facebook page www.facebook.com/AlamedaCountyDA/ for more.
