Duckings and Mamma Saved By Cops
Police officers rushed to the defense of the ducklings, who were being attacked.

NEWARK, CA — Police officers swear to "Serve and Protect" the citizens of their community. Some Newark Police officers took that to literally mean all members of the community, even the ones with feathers.
Earlier this week, several officers rushed out of a meeting at the police department headquarters to save several ducklings who were being attacked by a feral cat in the back of the parking lot.
In a social media post, they report, "Mamma duck did what she could to protect her ducklings but she needed some help. Officers chased away the cat and located all of the ducklings. Mamma and all of her babies were reunited and safely relocated by our animal control officer."
