Farewell Violet Eyes: Remembering Elizabeth Taylor

The actress behind "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" and "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf" passed away today.

Elizabeth Taylor's publicist announced Wednesday morning that the actress died of congestive heart failure at age of 79. 

If you weren't a fan of Elizabeth Taylor because you were born after 1980, check out this list of her best movies.  She was a child star who grew up to immortalize characters you've heard about at home or school.

You may need to order her films on line. Today, Newark Patch checked in with about the availability of four notable Taylor films: "National Velvet" (1944), "Cat on a Hot Tin Roof" (1958) , "Cleopatra" (1963),  and "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf" (1966).  Newark Video workers said they did not carry these titles.
