2 Alarm Fire Damages Commercial Building In Newark
The fire burned Wednesday night on Central Avenue.

NEWARK, CA — Alameda County firefighters battled a 2-alarm fire in Newark overnight, according to fire department spokeswoman Aisha Knowles.
The fire was reported at a warehouse in the 6700 block of Central Avenue at 11:23 p.m. The blaze was contained to an outside covered area and did not get inside the building. However, the side of the building was damaged.
There were no injuries. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
