Get your old documents together, and bring a proof of residency.

NEWARK, CA — Newark residents and businesses can bring their personal and business documents to Newark City Hall to be professionally shredded on-site, free of charge, on Saturday Oct. 29, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Each person or business is allowed a maximum of four boxes, 10-12 inches high x 12-14 inches wide x 18-20 inches long. Cell phones and hard drives will be accepted at a cost of $5.00 each.
Since the shredding is restricted to Newark residents and businesses, proof of residency is required. For residents, bring a driver's license or utility bill; for businesses, a copy of the business license.
