UPDATE: Missing Fremont Man Found in Union City

He vanished on Sunday and was found Tuesday morning.

A Fremont man who went missing Sunday evening was located safe Tuesday morning in Union City, according to police.

Around 9 a.m., officers were contacted by Union City police regarding an unidentified man who was found in the city and taken to a hospital, Fremont police said.

The man has since been identified as 60-year-old Paw Yaung, who was reported missing around 5:30 p.m. Sunday after he left his home in the 4700 block of Phebe Avenue in Fremont's Ardenwood neighborhood, according to police.

Police had considered Yaung at-risk because he regularly takes medication. Officers are currently in the process of reuniting Yaung with his family, police said.

FREMONT, CA - Police are looking for a man who went missing after leaving his Fremont home on Sunday evening, police said.

Paw Yaung, 60, left his home in the 4700 block of Phebe Avenue in the Ardenwood neighborhood at about 5:30 p.m., according to police.

Yaung often uses public transit to go to Hayward or Union City, but has been known to get lost.

He needs medication and is considered at-risk.

Yaung is an Asian man standing 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighing 120 pounds. He was wearing a white T-shirt with black or blue lettering, red sweatpants and blue rubber slippers the last time he was seen, according to police.

He has a scar above his left eyebrow and wears partial dentures. Anyone who sees Yaung has been asked to call Fremont police at (510) 790-6800.
