NEWARK, CA — No injuries were reported early Tuesday with Alameda County firefighters extinguished a fire at a Newark home.

The fire was reported at 04 a.m. on Meyhews Landing Road.

The fire department reports that the blaze began as a vehicle fire in the driveway, and then extended to the home, causing extensive smoke damage.
