Glass and Aluminum Doors

Glass and aluminum doors have become the most common type of door being used today in all of your retail and commercial buildings. There are a variety of types available to choose from when you are building a huge business or small retail store. Just about any hospital, hotel, or retail store you enter will have some type of glass or aluminum doors. These doors come in a variety of types and color to give you the service and architectural look you are wanting to accomplish. Glass and aluminum doors can be constructed to fit any size and need that you can imagine. The next time you walk into your favorite retail establishment take a look at the type of door and notice what you see.

The most common entry doors is a simple push and pull aluminum door. You will notice that this door will be hinged on the left or right. It is easily opened by walking up to the door and push or pull the door open. Most of the time this small entry door will be found in smaller retail and convenient stores. They will have full glass panels and in some cases you will notice that there will be glass on the top panel and a solid aluminum panel on the bottom. This simple door is designed to take the abuse that the public will dish out each and every day. They can be constructed from many different colors and finishes available.

Another type of door that is very common is just like the common entry aluminum door that I hinged on the left or right is a self-opening single door. When you walk up to this door a sensor we notice you and the door will swing open allowing you to enter the building without pushing or pulling the door yourself. This door is common on some of the larger establishments. When you approach the door it will open away from you while you enter. When you are exiting the building you will come up to another door that will allow you to exit in the same manner in which you entered. Self-opening doors are available in much the same colors and finishes as the other self-entry doors.

When you enter other establishments such as a hotel or a hospital you will notice another type of entrance. This type of entrance is known as sliding door entrance. You will see two doors side by side and when you approach these doors they will slide to the sides allowing your entrance. You will also notice that there will be no type of handle that you will need to push or pull to allow your entrance. Sliding doors are also available in a variety of choices to match the surrounding and makeup of the architectural design of the building.

One of the most appealing entry doors you will experience is the revolving doors. This door can be found in some of the more elegant buildings such as hotels. Some of the earlier revolving doors were designed for you to walk into and push the handle allowing the door to rotate and allow you to enter the building. Today a rotating door is also self-entry. This type of entry door is always revolving so all you need to do is enter the door through one of the openings and follow the door panel until you have entered the building.

It really doesn’t matter how big or how small your need is when it comes to deciding which type of door is best for you. There is a door that will fit your desire regardless of the type of door you decide to install.
