
NEWARK, CA —The California Highway Patrol this morning is reporting all lanes of eastbound state Highway 84 in Newark have reopened following the removal of two downed trees from the highway.
The CHP is reporting the highway was cleared Thursday night at 11:51 p.m., and a Sig Alert issued due to the incident has been canceled.
The first incident was reported at 8:26 p.m. on the highway's eastbound lanes just east of the Thornton Avenue off-ramp, according to the CHP.

At 9:19 p.m., another tree fell on the highway's eastbound lanes just east of Newark Boulevard.
