Alameda County Supervisor Nadia Lockyer hosts town hall meeting on Thursday

Newark residents are invited to attend a town hall meeting hosted by Alameda County Supervisor Nadia Lockyer Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m.

It will be the second of four town hall meetings that Lockyer will hold in supervisorial district 2 of Alameda County.

She represents the cities of Newark, Union City, Hayward, a portion of Fremont and the unincorporated area of Sunol.

The meeting will introduce Lockyer to the community and give attendees a look at the county's role and the services it provides, said Christine Gasparac, chief of staff for Lockyer's office.

Topics will include:

  • County budget and services updates
  • The property tax reassessment process
  • An update on the Alameda County Fire Department

The meeting is open to the public and will be held in Hall 2 of the , 6430 Thornton Ave.
