Man Charged In Newark Revenge Killing Over Daughter's Death: DA
The victim was shot dead in his own driveway by a man seeking revenge for his teen daughter's death.
NEWARK, CA — An Alameda County man was charged Monday with murder after being accused of a revenge killing for his daughter's death, the Alameda County District Attorney said.
Louie Sixto Lopez was charged with the murder of Reynaldo Cantu, 40, claiming Cantu's son killed his 16-year-old daughter in October, according to the district attorney's office.
On Friday at 2:20 p.m., Lopez went to Cantu's home in Newark and found Cantu inside his parked car in the driveway, officials said. Holding a gun, Lopez asked Cantu where his son was, then shot Cantu twice, killing him.
