Newark Arrests: Stolen Vehicle, Identity Theft, Burglary Tools

NEWARK, CA — The Newark Police Department has released a log of recent arrests in the city —

Sunday, Aug. 2:

11:13 p.m.: Officers responded to the area of Cedar Boulevard and Thornton Avenue for a report of a subject on the roadway. Officers made contact and arrested a 48-year old man out of Newark for being too drunk to care for himself or others. He was booked at Santa Rita Jail.

Monday, Aug. 3:

8:18 a.m.: Officers made contact and arrested a 45-year old woman out of Newark in the 5000 block of Cedar Court for identity theft, possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was booked at Fremont Jail.

Wednesday, Aug. 5:

9:21 p.m.: Officers responded to a report of report of an alarm in the 7000 block of Mowry Avenue. Upon arrival officers made contact and arrested a 33-year old man out of San Jose for unlawful entry upon lands and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was booked at Fremont Jail.

Thursday, Aug. 6:

7:11 a.m.: In the 8000 block of Gateway Boulevard, Officer Palacio made contact and arrested a 41-year old woman and a 40-year old man both out of Hayward for receiving stolen property, possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of burglary tools. Both were booked at Santa Rita Jail.

Saturday, Aug. 1:

8:44 a.m.: Officer Peterson investigated a disturbance in the 6000 block of Newpark Mall Road and made contact and arrested a 42-year old man out of San Mateo for a misdemeanor warrant. He was cited and released.

2:25 p.m.: Officer Damewood investigated a report of a disturbance in the area of Sycamore Street near the railroad tracks. He made contact and arrested a 23-year old woman out of Newark for possession of a controlled substance. She was cited and released.

Sunday, Aug. 2:

9:48 p.m.: Officer Riddles made contact and arrested 28-year old man out of San Jose in the 6000 block of Newpark Mall Road for possession of a controlled substance, possession of burglary tools and receiving stolen property. He was cited and released.

Monday, Aug. 3:

8:45 a.m.: Officers made contact and arrested a 41-year old man and a 46-year old woman both out of Newark in the 5000 block of Cedar Court for possession of burglary tools and drug paraphernalia. Both were cited and released.

2:48 p.m.: Officer Pacheco made contact and arrested a 40-year old woman out of Fremont for an outstanding warrant. She was cited and released.

Wednesday, Aug. 5:

11:06 p.m.: Officer Frentescu made contact and arrested a 45-year old man, a transient, in the 6000 block of Mowry Avenue for an outstanding warrant and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was cited and released.
