In their toughest meet this season, Newark Bluefins fell short during its July 16 meet in Mission Valley.
No records were set, and although Tory Gerome from Newark Bluefins won all four of her races, the Mission Valley Barracudas were still able to sneak out a win 547-500.
The Big Tuna Awards were presented poolside July 15, during the team's final potluck dinner.
The award winners were Kyle Brown, Hayley Chitwood, Jonathon Mui, Jimmy Pan and Jerry Quan.

The Bluefins will have their final meet against Southgate at Newark Memorial High School on July 23, and will be followed by the Bluefin end-of-the-season team party.
