Newark Library Now Open On Sundays
If you need to pick up books or other materials, the Newark Library is now open on Sundays.

NEWARK, CA — If Sunday is the most peaceful day of your week and you have been wanting to go to the library — there's good news. The Newark Library, located at 37055 Newark Blvd., is now open from 1 to 5 p.m. on Sundays.
The service change started on July 23.

- Monday: 12 – 8 pm
- Tuesday: 12 – 8 pm
- Wednesday: 10 am – 6pm
- Thursday: 10 am – 6pm
- Friday: Closed
- Saturday: 10 am – 5 pm
- Sunday: 1 – 5 pm
The staff reminds local residents that the Newark Library is more than a place to borrow books or study. "(Libraries) are creative and engaging spaces where people can collaborate and develop their skills and passions. Libraries strengthen communities and transform lives every day. From technology to workshops for job seekers to resources for English language learners, libraries provide a variety of programs and services to meet the needs of their communities. "
Events at the Newark Library this week include A Beginner Watercolor: Unlocking Creativity, Let's Art Together - Folding Books, Stories & Crafts with Ms. Jennifer, Learn through Play (Special Needs Friendly) and Homeschool Preteen Social Hour.

A reminder — the library will be closed on Monday Sept. 4 for Labor Day.
