Newark Police Arrest Burglary Suspect
Police say a Newark woman returned home and found the man at her residence. A K9 was used to track the suspect.

NEWARK, CA - Newark Police arrested a burglary suspect after the resident interrupted the burglar at her home, according to police reports.
The alleged burglary happened int he 5300 block of Jarvis Avenue at about 3:30 Monday afternoon.
The suspect fled before police arrived at her home. According to police, "Officers and Detectives quickly set up a perimeter and our K9 began tracking the suspect. The suspect was eventually located and arrested for residential burglary."

The suspect was captured on Abington Drive and booked at the Fremont Jail.
While the suspect's name has not been released, he has been identified as a 23 year old man from Newark.
