Newark Police Arrest Parolee Following Auto Burglaries
Police recovered property they believe belongs to at least eight people.

NEWARK, CA — Newark Police arrested a Richmond parolee, 31-year-old Jamal Wright, on suspicion of auto burglary. Police say they recovered items stolen from at least eight victims.
On Aug. 3, a woman told police that her vehicle had been burglarized in a parking lot in the 5000 block of Mowry Avenue. The victim provided police with a partial license plate number and description of the suspect’s vehicle, a black Dodge Durango.
Two plain clothed Newark Police Detectives responded and spotted a vehicle that fit the description with three people inside.
