Newark Police Arrest Suspect Following Disturbance
The man was on probation when police were called.

NEWARK, CA — A man was arrested early Wednesday morning for violating his probation after officers conducted a check on a residence in Newark, police said.
Around 12:30 a.m., officers responded to the 6200 block of Mayhews Landing Road to investigate a report of a disturbance.
According to police, when officers arrived at the scene, they located a 45-year-old man who they learned was violating his probation.

After resisting an officer's attempt to detain him, the man was eventually arrested and booked into the Santa Rita Jail, police said.
