Newark Police Chase Suspected Burglar Through Yards

NEWARK,CA - Newark Police report that they captured a burglar in the act of residential burglary, but not before coming out ahead in a foot chase.

It happened Tuesday on Juniper Avenue.

According to police, after receiving the information about the burglary, " Officers quickly arrived and set a perimeter. A suspect later exited the victim's residence and began fleeing and jumping fences. Officers gave chase and during the foot pursuit the suspect was taken into custody."
