Newark Police Investigate Grab-N-Run Theft, Auto Burglaries
The grab-n-run was reported at NewPark Mall.

NEWARK, CA — Newark Police officers responded to nine calls between Monday and Wednesday for theft.
The calls included a grab-n-run at NewPark Mall, auto burglaries, a residential burglary and, for one luck person, a stolen vehicle was recovered.

June 6
0707 Hours: Officer San Pedro investigated a residential burglary on the 38000 block of Geranium Street. The loss is unknown at this time.

0905 Hours: Officer Wallace investigated a pair of auto burglaries in front of Starbucks, 35040 Newark Boulevard. The loss is miscellaneous electronics.
June 5
1114 Hours: Officer Cervantes investigated the attempted theft of vehicle at Dosa and Curry Café, 39742 Cedar Boulevard.
1342 Hours: Officer Wilkerson investigated the theft of a wallet from an un-locked vehicle on the 8500 block of Mahogany Place.
2052 Hours: Officer Palacio investigated an auto burglary at BJ’s Restaurant & Brewhouse, 5699 Mowry Avenue. The loss was a laptop computer.
June 4
0753 Hours: Officer Pacheco investigated an auto burglary on the 6100 block of Joaquin Murieta Avenue. The loss was Xbox games and jewelry.
1247 Hours: Community Service Officer Verandes recovered a cargo van that was reported stolen out of San Jose on the 4900 block of Winchester Place. The registered owner was notified of the recovery.
1928 Hours: Officer Riddles investigated a grab and run theft that occurred at Sears, NewPark Mall. The loss is numerous pairs of shoes.
2104 Hours: Officer Geser investigated an auto burglary on the 34800 block of Newark Boulevard. The loss is a suitcase containing an iPad, laptop computer and personal items.
