Newark Police Need Help Solving Cold Case Homicide
More than 4 years have passed since the body of Fernando "Gordo" Guerra was found.

NEWARK, CA — The Newark Police Department is asking for the public's help in solving a homicide case that happened more than 4 years ago.
Officers found the body of 24-year-old Fernando “Gordo” Guerra of San Lorenzo on the east side of Thornton Avenue between Marshlands Road and Hickory Street on Oct. 27, 2014. He died from a gunshot wound.
Police report, "Information that once may have seemed insignificant could prove to be the missing element in solving open cases when combined with new tips and leads."
