Newark Traffic Advisory: Graduation Wednesday Will Cause Congestion

NEWARK, CA — Newark Police are warning drivers to avoid Cedar Boulevard between Mowry Avenue and Stevenson Boulevard Wednesday afternoon and early evening.

Newark Junior High School will hold its 8th Grade Promotion ceremony at Newark Memorial High Schoolbetween the hours of 3:30 and 5 p.m.

People attending are encouraged to carpool because of limited parking.

Local business parking lots near the school should not be used by those attending the ceremony. Parking laws will be enforced with fines ranging from $90-$310.

If you have a handicap hangar or license plate, parking is available near the baseball fields.
