Newark Vegetation Fire Controlled By Firefighters

NEWARK, CA — Alameda County firefighters extinguished a three-acre brush fire Saturday night at Cedar Boulevard and Willow Street in Newark, the county fire department said in social media posts.

The fire was reported in a Tweet about 9:20 p.m. and declared out in another Tweet about 11:05 p.m.

No one was injured, firefighters said.
