NUSD Concerns

I've recently read that there is concern over the school board's involvement with the recent resignation of Dave Marken.  I'm sorry to hear such animosity regarding the plight of our district.  I am ignorant of the issues of which Dave Marken chose to resign.  I am not privy to the causes.  I have heard concerns yet I am not sure what is fact and what is fiction so my comments regarding that decision are much better left unsaid.

What I would like to address is professionalism.  My business works with many parents/families/teens /police in our community.  I am in direct contact with families having difficulty navigating the school system, feeling as if they are treated unjustly, as well as families experiencing communication issues.  Gary Stadler has been my direct contact as to help with resolve in the school system.  He has come to the aid of every parent I've referred as well as every teen that has experienced difficulty.  Although he doesn't fit the "quiet, reserved" board member style, he is compassionate, passionate, and has the kids'/families' best interests at heart. I am sad to hear verbal/written attacks at a person who has the intent on improving our system.  Charlie Messinger has always been one to positively direct me when I have "lost my way" in the system.  He provides guidance so I can better serve the families with which I work. These men do not necessarily fit the past political role of school board personnel, however their commitment to bettering our system (whether we agree with their position or not) is dedication.

Being that both board members are outspoken and passionate target Mr. Stadler and Mr. Messinger as "toxic" or unhealthy for our district.  I feel that if we look deeply into how the public is being served then perhaps we need more passion to move this district into a state of improvement.
