Only 'Waitlist' Options Left For 2 Halloween Events In Newark
But if there's a waitlist, there's hope, right?
NEWARK, CA — Locals love their Halloween!
Two upcoming October events hosted by the City of Newark already sold out. But there are waitlist options left for both activities — the Drive-Thru Halloween Spooktacular and Halloween Eve Paint Night & Costume Contest — each planned at Silliman Activity and Family Aquatic Center in Newark.
Organized by the city's Recreation Department, the drive-thru activity is set for Friday, Oct. 23, with time slots offered from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. This event will feature a photo booth, candy, Halloween trivia and a drive-thru pumpkin patch with a two-pumpkin giveaway per car. The cost is $15 to $20 per vehicle.

And on Halloween Eve, Friday, Oct. 30, a Halloween-themed, outdoor, socially distanced paint night is planned from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Geared for participants ages 9 and up, the event includes a costume contest.
