SAVE Talks Breakfast

June 24th FREE Domestic Violence Information Presentation

Domestic violence doesn’t always look like bruises and broken bones. Would you be able to recognize signs of abuse and safely offer help?

Fremont-based SAVE (Safe Alternatives to Violent Environments) will host a free one-hour SAVE Talks presentation designed to inform and empower you about domestic violence, and give you the tools needed to safely provide support if you think an employee, patient, student, client or other person might be experiencing domestic violence.

Our June 24th SAVE Talks will breakfast and an overview about domestic violence, including facts and myths. You’ll also receive an information and resource packet, and can participate in a Q&A session.

“This is a great opportunity to learn how to share your concerns about domestic violence and how to help others in a safe and meaningful way,” states Dr. Yasi Safinya-Davies, SAVE’s Director of Clinical Programs and Teen Dating Violence Prevention. “With 1 in 3 women experiencing domestic violence in her lifetime, 1 in 4 teens, and 1 in 7 men, we need to work together to end abuse.”

Location: The Empowerment Center at SAVE, 1900 Mowry Avenue, Suite 201 (at Parkside Drive) Fremont, CA 94538

Date/Time: Friday, June 26, 2015 from 8-9 am (includes breakfast)
