Police have made 2 arrests in the case.

FREMONT, CA — Fremont Police arrested two people Sunday who allegedly robbed a man at gunpoint when he met a woman at a Fremont hotel to have sex, according to police. They had set up the arrangement online, according to police.
On Saturday, officers responded to a report of robbery at a hotel in the 5300 block of Farwell Place, police said.
There, a male victim told officers that he had met a woman Friday on the website Backpage.com and arranged to meet with her that day for sexual favors at the hotel.

Once at the hotel, at around 11 p.m., a male suspect forced his way into the room and brandished a handgun. The suspect then robbed the victim of his cash. After an investigation, officers learned that the hotel room had
been rented out by a woman, identified as a 26-year-old San Leandro resident Malina Acosta, according to police.
The next day, officers located Acosta and another man, identified as 29-year-old Sacramento resident Rayshaud Warner, at the same hotel. After questioning the pair and connecting them to the Friday incident, officers arrested Warner on suspicion of robbery, being a felon in possession of a firearm and false imprisonment, in addition to a probation violation, police said.
