Sign Up Now For Newark CERT Training

You will learn basic fire suppression, utility control, search and rescue, basic medical aid, triage, treating for shock, and more.

NEWARK, CA — If you've been planning to get CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) training, it's time to sign up for the spring class. The training is free.

Members of the community are trained in topics such as basic fire suppression, utility control, search and rescue, basic medical aid, triage, treating for shock, and disaster incident management.

The class will be held at the Silliman Center with the final drill being held at the Kaiser Permanente Union City Medical Offices.

Classes are held Tuesday evenings, April 11 - May 9, 6 - 9 p.m. The final drill will be Saturday, May 13, 1 - 5 p.m.
